Firm To The End

Firm to the end,
Our loving God promised,
Caught at both ends,
A goal I nearly missed.

People, So hard to love,
People, O must I love?
A journey so extreme so vast
In God, O I must trust.

A year grounded in Romans I started,
As time past, the old self departed
To live by faith, and not by sight
Only God can be O so right

Bondage to shame and sin that is now broken
An Identity in Him that cannot be shaken
Just as I am He lovingly accepted
Loved too much, to be left as I started

Security awaits in the Promise Land
Rest and restoration in His mighty hand.
Seeking only His approval not Man’s
Firm indeed, to the very Victorious end.

To God be all glory.
